Acceptable use policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
SentinelGrid Skyline exists to help a business see what the public internet already shows about it. This policy says what you may and may not do with it.
SentinelGrid Africa Ltd, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Contact: hello@sentinelgrid.africa.
What the service does, and does not
Every check uses public data only. Nothing connects to the domain being assessed: no port scans, no login attempts, no requests to its website or servers. The data comes from DNS resolvers, certificate transparency logs, registration records and internet scan indexes that already publish it.
You may
- Assess a domain you own or control, or one you are authorised in writing to assess for its owner, such as a client's.
- Share your own results with your team, your IT provider, your auditors and your insurers.
- Use the findings as a starting point for your own checks and fixes.
You must not
- Assess or ask about a domain you are not authorised to ask about. When you add a domain you confirm you own it or are authorised to assess it. Nothing stops you typing another domain, so the rule is yours to keep: do not add domains you have no right to assess, and do not claim to control a domain you do not.
- Use a result to prepare, plan or carry out unauthorised access to any system, to harass anyone, or for fraud, extortion or any other crime.
- Pretend to be someone else, use an email address you do not control, or share your sign-in link with others.
- Use scripts or bots to run the service at scale, avoid the monthly allowance or rate limits, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Resell the service or its results, or present them as your own assessment of someone else.
- Upload or enter anything unlawful, or personal data that you have no right to give us.
Reporting a problem
If you find a weakness in Skyline itself, please tell us at hello@sentinelgrid.africa before telling anyone else. We will not take action against anyone who reports in good faith, keeps the details private while we fix it, and does not access other people's data, disrupt the service or go beyond what is needed to show the problem.
If a Skyline result or email is about a domain you own and you did not expect it, tell us and we will explain where it came from and stop contacting you if you ask.
What happens if the policy is broken
We may limit or close an account, refuse further requests from an address or company, and where the law requires or allows, tell the authorities or the owner of the domain involved.
